National Day of Laos falls on 2 December
Laos became a French colony in the year 1893, with France using warships to cover the Gulf of Thailand. Forcing Thailand to give land on the left bank of the Mekong River, Laos, which is now to France, until in 1975, Laos then gained independence from France. After France was defeated in the Vietnam War At that time there was the Great King Sri Sawang Wong as King. After his death Laos is under fierce competition for power. Until the Lao People's Revolutionary Party Led by Chao Suphanuwong has overthrown the rule of the Great Life Sawang Watthana And establishing Laos as "Lao People's Democratic Republic" on 2 December 1975.
